HR

A leave request often travels three times: by email to the manager, on paper to HR, and once more into the spreadsheet where somebody counts balances. In Ezura the request is filed once: it finds its own approvers, becomes a signed document and shows up in the shared absence calendar.

1/6 · RequestRūta picks the type of leave and the dates. Ezura counts the working days, leaving out weekends and public holidays, and shows how many leave days she has left.

One leave request from the dates to payday: the document from the template, approval along the reporting line, the shared calendar and the monthly payroll. Click a stage to watch it again. Sample data.

Employees and the reporting line

Every employee has a record: position, department, direct manager, start date, a dated salary history and a leave balance.

The organisation tree shows who reports to whom, and a manager can be changed right there. The same reporting line later decides who approves requests and signs documents — there is no separate list of approvers to maintain.

A leave request that finds its own approvers

The employee picks the type of leave and the dates, and the summary shows how many working days that makes — weekends and Lithuanian public holidays are not counted.

The request travels up the reporting line: first to the direct manager, then to their manager, in order. A manager sees the waiting requests under team approvals.

When the last approver approves, the leave balance goes down. If approved leave is later cancelled, the days are returned.

  • annual and unpaid leave
  • the extra rest days for parents (mamadienis / tėvadienis), in days or hours
  • maternity, paternity and childcare leave
  • study leave

The document is generated and signed with the request

A document is generated from the request on the company's template — with the employee's name, position and dates taken from that same request. The employee signs it on filing, and each approver signs on approving.

The result is a numbered PDF with the chain of signatures. Nothing is printed, signed by hand and scanned.

Who is away when — one calendar

The calendar shows each person's leave, sickness, business trips and public holidays. A manager can narrow it to their own team or direct reports, and an HR manager can filter by department.

Before approving a request, nobody has to ask around who else is off that week.

Payroll and data for statutory reports

For the monthly run you pick the employees and enter bonuses, and the run moves through three steps: calculated, approved, locked. Each payslip shows income tax, the tax-free amount, social and health insurance contributions and the employer's contributions.

A finished run produces a payment file for the bank and a payroll register.

When maternity, paternity or childcare leave is approved, the data for Sodra's NP-SD2 and 9-SD notices is prepared. Sick-leave certificates are loaded from Sodra's file and matched to employees. Filing the notices with Sodra stays with you.

Frequently asked questions

Do employees file requests themselves?
Yes. The right to file requests and sign documents is given to each employee — we set that up during onboarding.
How is the approver decided?
By the reporting line: the direct manager, then their manager, in order. There is no separate approver list — it is enough that managers are set on the employee records.
Are approvers notified?
Not yet. An approver sees waiting requests and documents after logging in.
Can existing leave balances be carried over?
Yes, we enter opening balances during onboarding — it cannot be done on screen yet.
Is there a timesheet?
There is no separate timesheet screen or export yet. Absences — leave, sickness, business trips — are recorded and shown in the calendar.
Does the system file reports for us?
No. Ezura prepares the data for Sodra's notices, and you file them yourselves.
